We are looking to identify a Project Director with experience of delivering packaged software solutions within the banking & financial services sector, where the emphasis is on managing the commercial aspects of project management the client relationship, third party relationships, technical and business team management, onsite and offshore team management, project financials, project controls. The end result is the delivery of a technical solution (software product), but we are not looking to identify technical project managers. My client is looking to identify someone who understands; true full life cycle project management; how to deliver projects to external customers, as apposed to internal business divisions; project management methods, processes and procedures, tools and techniques; banking & financial services as a business, to include a good knowledge of business processes; packaged software delivery to include solutions such as treasury software, core banking software, capital markets software; systems to manage risks within the financial services space. As such, the Project Managers will demonstrate their overall knowledge and expertise of project management, banking, client relationship management, and software delivery. This contract will be for an initial 6 month period, with extensions available, due to business growth and a very healthy pipeline of business to come. The role is based near London (M4 corridor and M25), but will see you travel across the UK working mainly on customer sites.
