I used to work for a company that advertised to doctors, nurses and other medical professionals online. They had a great service to offer and they got a pretty steady stream of site visitors. Unfortunately, they never felt it was necessary to advertise online in any way, such as using pay per click ads, and their new customer base became stagnant.
