Mission Systems Engineer

We require a Systems Engineer responsible for mission and system design to work for our client who specialise in designing, building and launching small satellites You will be responsible for systems level design of all space systems from LEO to GEO and beyond. This role involves a mixture of mission and system engineering during bid, contractual, design and mission phases. Key Tasks To work as part of a team to perform mission and system design Preparation of technical responses to tenders for a variety of customers Conduct customer-facing meetings and presentation at all project stages System level design of space and ground segments including requirements analysis, sensitivity analysis, mission analysis and design trade-offs To work as part of a team in the production of concepts of operations for missions. System engineer/technical lead on missions from contract negotiations through to launch and ops. Preparation of presentation materials and reports to a high standard Qualifications A good Engineering Degree or equivalent Experience Proven experience as a spacecraft Systems Engineer Experience of designing space missions starting from end-user requirements (ideally Cradle to grave) Experience of designing and analysing space and ground segments to the sub-system level. Ideally with experience of downstream spacecraft level testing Knowledge & Skills Good all round technical knowledge down to component level Excellent inter-personal skills - both written and oral communications ability to interface with customer and technical representatives Highly organised and motivated Able to work under pressure Flexible & adaptable to changing priorities Able to work on a variety of projects from Cradle to grave Good team working skills Competent in Microsoft Office suite This vacancy is being advertised by s.com Group Ltd.
