RM is a leading supplier of educational technology and solutions both in the UK and internationally. We are seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to join us in a key role with responsibility for group reporting. Working in a listed company environment, the job holder will play a key role in monitoring and understanding the financial performance of the RM Plc Group. In addition to the listed company, the group has 14 trading subsidiaries, including international presence, and 2 additional subsidiaries trading within the group. Reporting to the Group Chief Accountant, and working closely with group company accountants, finance directors and managing directors, you’ll be supporting group companies on technical accounting and ad-hoc financial matters. The job holder will be responsible for the consolidation of Group results for monthly management, interim and year-end statutory accounts, as well as having planning and forecasting responsibilities. You will also produce the annual consolidated report and accounts (including cash flow calculation), take a technical lead on accounting matters and support the Tax Manager in inter-company transfer pricing matters. The role: Preparation of monthly consolidated Group results and management information, including review of company results Production of interim and year-end Group accounts Provision of support to Group companies on technical and general accounting matters, including control over inter-company trading and transactions Project management and technical support of the transition of acquisitions to Group accounting policies, including IFRS The individual: ACA/ACCA qualified (or CIMA with financial reporting experience) Current experience within a Group finance function or in professional practice A solid background in Group Reporting, ideally including international and hence foreign exchange experience Working knowledge of IFRS Intermediate Excel knowledge Ideally you’ll also have experience of process improvement and systems development Why consider this role?
