About the Role Intergence have identified a product development opportunity in the realm of network visualisation which could dramatically improve on existing network visualisation techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of an engineering organisation, working with others to design and deliver a technically advanced software product. This is a challenging and demanding role for an ambitious developer who is looking to advance his/her career by making a significant contribution to a complex product development programme. Job Description - Main accountabilities Detailed Analysis and Design: Willingness to take ownership of specific areas of development Continuously ensure that the technical architecture meets the needs of the business Participate in design walkthroughs, status meetings, peer code reviews and architectural debates to share knowledge throughout the team Production of artefacts to help explain key software components UML diagrams etc Implementation: Design and implement appropriate unit tests to verify correct user story implementation Follow coding standards and agreed team working practices to ensure a code base that is coherent and consistent and which conforms to best practices Planning: Assist in release and iteration planning activities and task estimation to allow timely delivery of high quality software Must have: Fluency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++ or Smalltalk (minimum 5 years experience) Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit testing + mocking) Strong understanding of object modelling techniques UML Understanding of design patterns Extensive experience
